DescriptionMacrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 beta also called CCL19, ELC (EBI1 Ligand Chemokine), Exodus-3 is a reported β chemokine that binds specifically to the chemokine receptor CCR7 / EBI1 / BLR2. It is expressed in the thymus, lymph nodes and in activated bone marrow stromal cells. MIP-3 beta is a chemoattractant for T and B lymphocytes and myeloid progenitor cells.
Form/AppearanceLyophilized from a 0.2m filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Purity> 95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
MWApproximately 9.2 kDa, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 83 amino acids.
Protein SequenceGANDAEDCCL SVTQRPIPGN IVKAFRYLLN EDGCRVPAVV FTTLRGYQLC APPDQPWVDR IIRRLKKSSA KNKGNSTRRS PVS
SourceEscherichia coli.
Biological ActivityMeasured by its ability to chemoattract human CCR7 transfected BaF3 mouse proB cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 3-15 ng/mL.
EndotoxinsLess than 1EU/μg of rMuMIP-3b/CCL19 as determined by LAL method.
StorageThis lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8°C, but should be kept at -20°C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-8°C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20°C to -70°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Buffer/PreservativesLyophilized from a 0.2m filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
NoteFor research use only
Application notesWe recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at < -20°C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
Expiration Date6 months from date of receipt.
