• Purity: This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Mouse IgG coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum, Mouse IgG, Mouse IgG F(ab’)2 and Mouse Serum. No reaction was observed against Mouse IgG F(c) or Human Serum Proteins.

Titers for anti-Gal antibodies. Serial 1:2 dilutions of serum from α1, 3galactosyltransferase knockout mice were incubated on plates coated with α-gal–linked bovine serum albumin. Titers of 1:160 or greater were considered immunity comparable with human titers and appropriate for use in experimentation. Highlighted area in yellow shows titers of tested mice at 1:320 and −1:640, greater than the needed threshold.
