Background | Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK(Dnp)-NH2, also known as Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK(Dnp)-NH2 Fluorogenic MMP Substrate, is an excellent substrate for MMP-3 (stromelysin 1) and MMP-10 (stromelysin 2), but not a substrate MMP-1 or MMP-2. Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK(Dnp)-NH2 substrate contains a highly fluorescent 7-methoxycoumarin (Mca) group that is efficiently quenched by resonance energy transfer to the 2,4-dinitrophenyl (Dnp) group. The cleavage site is the peptide bond between Glu and Nval (norvaline). Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK(Dnp)-NH2 is also an excellent substrate for trypsin, HGF activator and factor Xa. |
