Description | Recognizes a protein of 40kDa, identified as cytokeratin-19 (CK19), which is expressed in sweat gland, mammary gland ductal and secretory cells, bile ducts, gastrointestinal tract, bladder urothelium, oral epithelia, esophagus, and ectocervical epithelium. Anti-CK19 reacts with a wide variety of epithelial malignancies including adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomach, pancreas, biliary tract, liver, and breast. Perhaps the most useful application is the identification of thyroid carcinoma of the papillary type, although 50%-60% of follicular carcinomas are also labeled. Anti-CK19 is a useful marker for detection of tumor cells in lymph nodes, peripheral blood, bone marrow and breast cancer. |

IHC testing of FFPE human colon tissue with recombinant Cytokeratin 19 antibody (clone rKRT19/799). Required HIER: boil tissue sections in pH9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Flow cytometry testing of PFA-fixed human MCF7 cells with recombinant Cytokeratin 19 antibody (clone rKRT19/799); Red = isotype control, Blue = recombinant Cytokeratin 19 antibody.
Western blot testing of human HepG2 cell lysate with recombinant Cytokeratin 19 (clone rKRT19/799). Predicted molecular weight ~43 kDa.
Analysis of HuProt (TM) microarray containing more than 19, 000 full-length human proteins using recombinant Cytokeratin 19 antibody (clone rKRT19/799). These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the rKRT19/799 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt (TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt (TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.
