DescriptionIn addition to it's role as a glycolytic enzyme, mammalian GPI can function as a tumor-secreted cytokine and an angiogenic factor (AMF) that stimulates endothelial cell motility. GPI is also a neurotrophic factor (Neuroleukin) for spinal and sensory neurons. Defects in GPI are the cause of hemolytic anemia non-spherocytic due to glucose phosphate isomerase deficiency.

    GPI Antibody / Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase

IHC staining of FFPE human breast carcinoma with Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody (clone CPTC-GPI-1). HIER: boil tissue sections in pH 9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 10-20 min and allow to cool before testing.

    GPI Antibody / Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase

Immunofluorescence staining of fixed human MCF-7 cells with Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody (green, clone CPTC-GPI-1) and Reddot nuclear stain (red).

    GPI Antibody / Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase

Western blot testing of human T-47D, PC3 and HePG2 cell lysate with Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody. Predicted molecular weight: ~63 kDa.

    GPI Antibody / Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase

Analysis of HuProt (TM) microarray containing more than 19000 full-length human proteins using Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody (clone CPTC-GPI-1). These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the CPTC-GPI-1 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt (TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt (TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.

    GPI Antibody / Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase

SDS-PAGE analysis of purified, BSA-free Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody (clone CPTC-GPI-1) as confirmation of integrity and purity.
