Description | CD132 / common gamma chain is an essential component of receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21, and it is critical for development of the immune system. Its mutation causes X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency disease (XSCID). CD132 is expressed on lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes, and granulocytes. Through its cytoplasmic part which containsfour tyrosines and an SH2 domain, CD132 transcuces signal to downstream JAK/STAT pathway. |
