Category | Antibodies |
Description | CCL5 Antibody |
Species/Host | Mouse |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Clone Number | 5B3-D5 |
Tested applications | ELISA, NeA, WB |
Reactivity | Human |
Isotype | RANTES antibody was derived form BALB/c mice and belongs to the IgG2b isotype. |
Immunogen | Monoclonal antibody against human RANTES designated as VL-1 was purified from ascites fluid on a Protein A affinity column. |
Concentration | batch dependent |
Dilution range | Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of h-RANTES (100ng/mL), a concentration of 5-7 μg/mL of this antibody is required. ELISA:In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL of this antibody will detect at least 500 pg/mL of recombinant human RANTES when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human RANTES (XP-5257Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μg/mL. Western Blot:To detect hRANTES by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.5-1.0 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hRANTES is 0.25-2.0 ng/lane, under reducing conditions and 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions. |
Form/Appearance | Lyophilized |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Target | CCL5 |
UniProt ID | P13501 |
NCBI | P13501 |
Storage | RANTES lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/mL. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4°C when reconstituted. |

This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of human tonsil. The recommended concentration is 10.0 ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4°C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 6.0 citrate buffer is recommended. Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.
